The European
Working Group of People with Dementia (EWGPWD) began its third two-year term of
office at a meeting held on 30 October 2016 in Copenhagen.
O Grupo de Trabalho Europeu para Pessoas com Demência começou o biénio 2016-2018 a 30 de Outubro de 2016 em Copenhaga.
During this meeting,
the group welcomed six new members and elected a Chairperson and two
Vice-Chairpersons to the new Executive Board.
Durante esta reunião, o grupo deu as boas vindas a seis novos membros e elegeu a presidente e dois vice presidentes para a Direção do grupo.

The EWGPWD
was launched by Alzheimer Europe and its member associations in early 2012. The
group is composed entirely of people with dementia who are nominated by their
national Alzheimer associations. They work to ensure that the activities,
projects and meetings of Alzheimer Europe duly reflect the priorities and views
of people with dementia.
O Grupo foi lançado pela Alzheimer Europe e Associações associadas em 2012. O grupo é composto inteiramente por pessoas com demência que foram nomeadas pelas associações de Alzheimer nacionais. Trabalham para assegurar que as atividades, projeto, e reuniões da Alzheimer Europe reflectem devidamente as prioridades e perspectivas das pessoas com demência.
The group operates independently, with members
electing their own Board and setting an agenda of activities. The Chairperson
is also an ex-officio member on the Board of Alzheimer Europe with full voting
rights. During the group’s first two terms of office (2012-2014, 2014-2016),
the members of the EWGPWD have actively participated in the Alzheimer Europe
conferences and gave keynote presentations in the European Parliament.
O grupo opera de forma independente, com membros a eleger a sua própria Direção e a definir a sua própria agenda de atividades. O Presidente é também um membro ex-officio na Direção da Alzheimer Europe com plenos direitos de voto. Durante os dois primeiros mandatos (2012-2014; 2014-2016), os membros do Grupo participaram ativamente nas Conferências da Alzheimer Europe e disponibilizam notas de intervenção ao Parlamento Europeu.
They
have contributed to several consultations for different European projects where
AE is involved and to the work that AE develops. Members of the group have also
contributed to research conducted by external organisations.
Contribuíram para diversas consultas para diferentes projetos europeus em que a Alzheimer Europe (AE) está envolvida e no próprio trabalho que a AE desenvolve. Os membros do grupo também contribuem para a investigação conduzida por organizações exteriores.
